Aquaponics farming creates a symbiotic ecosystem between a fish farm and a vegetable farm. This technique for growing food produces many many times more than traditional farming.  Some estimates are as high as a 60:1 ratio. The farm consists of a tank growing fish for consumption and sale connected through a plumbing system to a greenhouse where hydroponics are employed to grow without soil.
